Mommy & Me
MOMMY & ME
The Mommy & Me program welcomes our youngest children into the B'nai Torah community. Classes are available for babies through two years of age with mommy, daddy, grandparents, or other significant adult. Each class is one-and-a-half hour in length and includes child-centered play activities, music and movement, storytelling, and parenting discussions. Judaic values come alive for children and families through weekly themes and an inspiring play environment.
Childhood is something precious to be celebrated and shared. Come and enjoy a fun-filled time with your child. You'll be amazed to see your child's individual journey of discovery and learning. You will also make wonderful new friendships. We are looking forward to meeting YOU!

OUR PHILOSOPHY
The B'nai Torah Congregation of Boca Raton, Inc., the Ruth and Edward Taubman Early Childhood Center Program is at B'nai Torah Congregation. The program promotes a healthy self-image and independence for the child in a pleasant, developmentally sound environment. The uniqueness of the Ruth and Edward Taubman Early Childhood Center can be found in the quality of day-to-day interactions among children, staff and parents. To the children it feels like family, a place where they belong. To the parents, it feels secure and reassuring.
Our staff is dedicated to the strengthening of family life through the transmission of values and Jewish traditions. The focus of our program evolves from the values, traditions, and rituals of Judaism. It is important that you understand that children will be imbued with these concepts. We have created a caring environment which encourages your child to begin at his own level and to develop emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically, and cognitively. This includes opportunities to be "little scientists", to explore and to experiment, to question and guess, to fail and try again.
Each family comes to school with a unique package of experiences, feelings, and characteristics. It is our sincere desire to be responsive and helpful in every way and to actively assist to resolve any questions or concerns that you may have. We are here for you as well as your child. Please remember that open communication between parents and staff is the real key to successful early childhood education. Again, we welcome your questions, concerns, suggestions, and constructive criticisms. Visits to the classroom are an important way for parents to feel assured that their children are receiving the very best.
Since the pre-school years are the formative years, the years when behavior patterns, value systems, and attitudes emerge, it is essential to our philosophy to provide individualized attention. Research has shown that most of the child's potential for learning is established by age six. The Ruth and Edward Taubman Early Childhood Center provides:
~ A nurturing environment ~ Staff trained in child development methods ~ Age-appropriate curriculum ~ Safe and well maintained physical equipment ~ Strong communication with parents, both formal and informal ~ Enrichment programs ~ Excellent ratios of staff to children
The following factors are the keys to realizing our goals:
~ Building a positive self-image and high self esteem in children ~ Encouraging patterns of learning and problem-solving ~ Encouraging self-reliance ~ Encouraging empathy and concern for others ~ Developing an ability to cooperate with others ~ Providing a healthy, safe, and pleasant child-oriented environment for optimum growth and development
